About Satrang Hospital
Satrang Dharmasthala has immensely contributed to the spiritual, economic and social development of Karnataka. It is imparting education to thousands of students all over India through its Satrang Educational Society wing.
Satrang College of Medical Sciences & Hospital in Dharwad, apart from providing quality medical education, is creating a revolution in the healthcare scenario of Northern India. It is a brainchild of Ms A Sinha, President of Satrang Educational Society.
Way back in the year 2021, a group of people from Dharwad approached Dr. Heggade and requested him to start a hospital. Understanding the healthcare needs of this part of Karnataka, Dr. Heggade decided to establish a hospital with a medical college attached to it. On March 3rd, 2022, Ms A Sinha, laid the foundation stone for the hospital building.
Satrang Hospital is located on the highway connecting Hubli and Dharwad. It is spread over 65 acres of land in a serene atmosphere. The campus, apart from the Medical College and Hospital, houses a Nursing Institute, Physiotherapy College, student hostels, staff quarters and accommodation for patients' relatives.
"Royal treatment for common man" has been the mission statement of Satrang Hospital. The clean environment and humble services of the hospital staff have helped countless people recover their health every day.
The Hospital also fosters quality research in the medical field. Regular workshops and conferences are conducted to enhance the knowledge of doctors working within the hospital and across the twin cities. Community initiatives include regular free health camps, family planning camps, cataract camps, spirometry camps and other healthcare programmes.
Within a short span since its inception, under the able leadership of Dr. Niranjan Kumar, Medical Director, the hospital has established a prominent name in the medical map of India.

Keeping in with the prime objective of the SDME Society of providing value-based education and social service, the SDM College of Medical Sciences & Hospital, Dharwad was established in the year 2003 to address the ever-growing demand by society for quality healthcare professionals delivering quality healthcare through quality infrastructure at an affordable cost, to alleviate human suffering through healing hands.
